Do you like tripping? I mean road tripping, what you did in college is your business.

My wife and I like road tripping; and we want to see stuff before it burns up, slides down, disappears under water, or too many micro-plastic particles clog my brain. I also like challenges and am lucky to have a partner that tolerates this behavior.

A 2022 KIA EV6 became our weapon of choice, and we quickly learned driving an electric vehicle is not so different from driving a gasoline fueled car.

The challenge became how to electric road trip America and not create an expensive towing bill. Combining old tech with new tech to map out the charging landscape led to diminishing range concerns, increased road trip length, finally progressing to exploring North America utilizing kilowatt power.

Using an old school paper atlas and adhesive plastic dots I spent a few Hallmark Movies to employ the PlugShare app and plot out existing electric car chargers. Now we decide on a destination and Cheryl lays out the trips.

This pre-planning method allows us to relax and enjoy the North American landscape, explore National & State Parks and visit friends & family.
